Program Information & Policies
Admission Age
Children may be accepted as young as 2 years 7 months by September 1 for our preschool.
The Three & Four Day Programs are only open to children who are less than 4 years old by September 1.
All children 4 years of age or older are expected to participate in a Five-Day Program - half-day or full day.
Children must be able to meet the age criterion for their First Grade Program of choice the following year to be admitted to our kindergarten.
Orientation
Each child will go through an Orientation Period when entering the class. The hours will be shorter than the normal class session. The time will be lengthened as the child adjusts to the program and expectations of the class. This process usually takes 10 school days to complete.
Each September all the children in the school go through an Orientation Process. This allows the new children time to get adjusted with fewer children in the classroom. It also gives time to the returning children who must learn the new expectations for their age group. This process is completed in 10 school days. The exact times and schedule of entry will be in the August packet. Play-a-sori is available for our families who need during school hours care for their childern during our orientation.

There is some flexibility on the number and designated days for All-Day students.
Because of holiday celebrations, there may be times when Three and Four Day Students will be asked to attend on a different schedule. You will be given advance notice of any changes.
Drop-Off
Children may be dropped off anytime between 8:15 and 8:45. Children must be walked to the inside classroom door and be received by a staff member. Please arrive promptly so your child will have the benefit of the full session and not interrupt the other children’s activities.
Beginning in October, there is curbside pick-up by a staff member from 8:40 to 8:50 each morning.
Lunch Time (Optional)
Parents of Half-Day Students may opt to have their children stay for lunch until 1:00 p.m. The fee is determined by the number of days a parent wishes their child to participate: $10 per day or for the school year at an additional amount included in the tuition. (Please see the current Tuition Schedule in the Application Packet.) If a child joins the lunch program after the start of the school year, the fee will be calculated at $6 x the number of days remaining for their program. Children will bring their own lunch from home. A special lunch program twice a week may be available at an additional cost if there is interest among the parents.
Pick-Up
Half-Day Students must be picked-up at 11:45.
Half-Day Students staying for lunch must be picked up at 1:00.
All-Day Students may be picked up at 3:00. They may stay as late as 3:30 without a penalty fee.
There is a Late Pick-Up Fee Policy. Please make every effort to pick up your child on time. Children depend on structure. Their adjustment to school may be adversely affected by a lack of consistency in drop-off and pick-up times.
